The operating system behind the company

Food for Health® created the Clinical Nutrition Operating System. Its patented Efficacy Engine® synthesizes independently peer-reviewed clinical evidence with individual health factors to produce Personalized Food Outcome Calculations™.

The Efficacy Engine® grades each ingredient for each specific condition using weighted factors including cohort size, study duration, blinding, investigators, funding and outcomes. It dynamically reconciles graded ingredients across multiple conditions and goals and accounts for contraindications, adjuvants, depletions and interactions involving foods, prescription drugs and over-the-counter products.

Religion, diet, taste, certification, calories, macro- and micronutrients, region, culture, brand and price are applied as filters after efficacy determination. These filters are not efficacy. Food for Health® delivers this intelligence through a live SaaS platform, software system and API for retailers, healthcare organizations, payers, employers, food companies and digital-health platforms.
