Food for Health® applies clinical nutrition evidence to personalized food decisions. Its patented Efficacy Engine® evaluates ingredients in the context of individual health factors, conditions, and goals. The company works at the intersection of nutrition, consumer experience, grocery, healthcare, and enterprise technology.

Our internships offer substantive work, direct feedback, and opportunities to learn how a growing company researches, communicates, and develops its market. Applicants must be self-starters with strong time-management skills who are used to taking initiative, checking their work, and improving it in response to feedback.

The role

Find, develop, and write stories that explain Food for Health® and the broader food-as-medicine landscape to public audiences. You will collect source material, interview or coordinate with contributors when appropriate, and turn approved information into clear website and social-channel content. This role leads story development and writing; clinical claims are checked with the evidence researcher before publication.

What you will do

  • Identify timely, relevant story ideas and maintain an organized editorial pipeline.
  • Gather background materials, verify factual claims, and document sources.
  • Draft and edit website stories, blog posts, social copy, media materials, and other public-facing content.
  • Translate complex subjects into accessible language without overstating the evidence.
  • Coordinate with the clinical research role on scientific accuracy and with the web role on presentation.
  • Adapt approved stories for different channels while keeping the underlying facts consistent.

What you will learn

Editorial judgment, interviewing and source evaluation, concise public writing, media preparation, and responsible communication of health-related information.

Who should apply

A strong writer and editor who is curious, precise, receptive to revision, and interested in health, nutrition, business, or technology. Published work is welcome, but strong academic or independent samples also count.

  • Microsoft Office 365, including Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • LinkedIn, AI tools, and Google Chrome.

Work schedule

  • Flexible 15–25 hours per week as defined by you, the intern.
  • Project deliverables and deadlines are proposed or agreed to by you, the intern.
  • All equipment needed for the role is provided by you, the intern.
  • Location is remote / virtual.

Compensation

  • There is no monetary compensation for this role. We are dedicated to providing an immersive, interactive educational experience for elite performers who understand the value of the knowledge and connections they can gain by working with us. The cost of providing such an experience exceeds the compensation appropriate to the experience and abilities of applicants. If that is not the case, this internship is not offered.

Any equity grant is subject to acceptance of the terms and conditions in the company’s equity grant, member control, and operating agreements.
  • Certain business-development roles that result in revenue to the company may offer commissioned compensation. Monetary compensation of any kind is subject to acceptance of the terms and conditions in the company’s contractor agreements.

What to expect

  • Substantive assignments connected to active company priorities.
  • Direct feedback and opportunities to improve your work.
  • Responsibility for taking initiative, managing time, and checking details.
  • Exposure to how a growing company develops, verifies, and publishes public-facing stories.
